2015 is finishing

2015 is finishing. Give yourself today some minutes as a gift and write down your story. We share here this story for your inspiration:

“A famous writer was at his desk making balance of the year ending. He took his pen and started to write:

-This year I went though a surgery and my gall-bladder was removed. I spent a long time in bed.

-This year I became 60 years old and I had to leave my job after 30 years working for the same publishing house.

-My father passed away.

-My son failed his exams to become a doctor because a car accident forced him to spend sometime in a cast at the hospital. On top of this my car was destroyed what was an additional problem…

After this he wrote down: Alas! What a bad year…!

When his wife entered the room he found his husband sad and self-absorbed on his own thoughts. She read the piece of paper he had written from over his shoulder. She quietly left the room and came back with another piece of paper that she placed by the one his husband had written.

When the writer saw the paper with his name written on it he took it to read it. The paper said:

-This year I finally got rid of my gall-bladder that had made me suffer in pain for years…

-This year I became 60 years old and I retired. Now I can spend my time to write better things, more focused and in peace…

-My father passed away at 95 years old without needing anybody to depend on during the last years and with no significant sickness nor critical situation.

-This year my son received the gift of a new life. My car was destroyed but he is still alive and with no disability or consequence…

At the end she had written:

-This year was a tremendous blessing and was great!!!

The writer was happy and stunned with the beautiful and encouraging interpretation of what had happened that year that was ending.

Moral: Sometimes in life we cannot choose the circumstances but you can ALWAYS choose how you see them… It is not happiness that make us grateful, but GRATEFULNESS that makes us HAPPY.
